Cardoso won an NCAA Women's title with the Gamecocks this season, defeating Caitlin Clark's Iowa in the national championship game. The 6-foot-7 center is one of the top prospects in all of women's basketball, but she admitted in the clip that she's been a 'big fan' of Marta her entire life, even being brought to tears by the gesture.
The new WNBA draft pick will begin preseason in the coming months with the Sky before making her professional debut. The Pride, meanwhile, will hope to continue their promising start to the NWSL campaign. They have six points through four matches and are undefeated to begin the season.
