Bayern Munich defender Eric Dier ended up with blood all over his face after he bravely stopped Stuttgart from scoring in Saturday's Bundesliga clash.

The Guinea international latched on to a pass inside the penalty box before trying to push the ball into a seemingly net but Dier did well to head the ball away and deny him from scoring. The Bayern star, however, was left with blood all over his face as he reopened a head gash in the process.

A minute after Dier's brave attempt, Leonidas Stergiou handed Stuttgart the lead from Deniz Undav's assist. The visitors restored parity in the 37th minute through Harry Kane's strike from a spot-kick after Serge Gnabry was brought down inside the penalty box.
The strike against Stuttgart was Kane's 36th league goal of the season and 44th overall. The England captain is now just six goals away from breaking Robert Lewandowski's record of scoring the most goals in a single Bundesliga season.
Thomas Tuchel's side will be next seen in action on Wednesday as they take on Real Madrid in the second leg of their Champions League semi-final clash.
